SPICE OILS

Steam distillation of spices yield their volatile constituents.  The essential oil thus obtained possesses the aromatic flavour and fragrance of the original spice.

SPICE OLEORESINS

The spice oleoresin constitutes the volatile and non-volatile components of spices.  Oleoresin is a highly concentrated form of flavour and pungency.  Solvents are used to extract oleoresins and their residual levels are maintained below 25 ppm.

EOAS does not use any chlorinated solvent in the extraction processes.  Our catalogue of spice oleoresins include:

GARCINIA CAMBOGIA EXTRACT

For the first time in Sri Lanka EOAS started extraction of Hydroxy Citric Acid (-HCA) from Garcinia Cambogia.  HCA can suppress appetite reduce food intake and inhibit fat and cholesterol synthesis.
